I need some new tunes to get down and dirty to.. crossfit style.. anyone have any suggestions? What do you listen to and what do you think I'd like.

Let the bodies hit the floor is the current jam as I am typing this post.

Mainly listen to these bands while working out:

Tool
Crossfade
Red
Deftones
Decyfer Down
Killswitch Engage
Marilyn Manson
Chevelle
Breaking Benjamin
Atreyu
Alexisonfire
A Perfect Circle
Sevendust

You get the idea.. enlighten me please!

I typically rage out to "soft sounds from the 70's" collection from time life. Dreamweaver is solely responsible for my 3:26 Fran time...

Chuck, you forgot "Charred Walls of the Damned" or better yet "Caninus" the band with a pit bull for a lead singer. I couldn't make that up: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Gotta definitely vote on the Killswitch, Pantera and Alice in Chains as my go to tunes. Then I throw some 50 Cent into the mix or some Jeezy for a change of pace sometimes.

Music... Need some new tunes? Empty Chicago

Post  Mr.Wood Mon Jan 04, 2010 5:40 pm

I just remembered this today when I was at the gym: Chicago. For those of you who are too young, Chicago is a band from the 70's that is just sweet. I have never heard a bad song by Chicago-- or as my buddy Downtown Jay Brown says in reference to Phil Collins "Name a bad Phil Collins song...you can't brother." Listening to Chicago makes you want to buy a 75' Coupe DeVille with fur seats, naked lady mud flaps and dice in the mirror and cruise around with the seat reclined.

Woody, i might have been born in '89 but come on, "Does anybody really know what time it is?"

Well buddy if it wasn't 15 degrees in hell yesterday I would have been rollin' with the windows down listening to Chicago's "25 Or 6 to 4"---that song is like a handlebar mustache or finely trimmed mullet it says to people "hey this guy means business, but he likes to party with two r's"
