I've been bread, grain, legume, and sugar clean since Monday (except for a sneaky half-crouton. Damn pre-made salads). I'm not going nuts or having the shakes or anything, but it do still feel hungry often, even after a 4 or 5 block paleo/zone meal, when my stomach is full. I find I've been eating less because it is harder to fit the healthy options into my schedule. Also, I'm shouting at the TV more often because it keeps showing me food I've sworn off for the next few weeks.

Otherwise, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I'm still getting by, I'm not tired, and it's not hard to find things to eat. There are a few places on campus that offer reasonably healthy meals, albeit not always reasonably priced. And now that I've discovered the magic that is almond butter, I'm doing much better. You guys weren't kidding, its pretty damn amazing.

Right now the only things I'm worrying about are cutting the listed offenders and getting more sleep. I'll start tweaking things a bit more after I've stuck to that for a while. At least until April, after the games.

Should I be cutting starches too? I only have potatoes as part of post-wod meals, but I'm not sure if that's also creating the insulin spike I should try to avoid.

Em, I too am guilty of eating it from the jar. I've had the jar all of 6 hours and already I've lost that battle of wills.

For those of you looking for new recipes to try, I just cooked up the paleo-meatball recipe they had up at CF Football on Wednesday. Came out pretty tasty. - http://www.crossfitfootball.com/page/index.php?menu=nutrition&page=meatballs
